My only hiccups where in the non-e related dependencies. These are for a new Ubuntu 8.04 install, and will most likely apply to any Debian-based distro. So here is what I had to install:

For EFL: build-essential automake cvs libimlib2-dev libxrender-dev flex libzine-dev bison gettext libxml-dev libxslt-dev libdbus-1-dev

For evfs: libbz2-dev libsqlite3-dev libcurl4-gnutls-dev libtagc0-dev

For emphasis: libmpd-dev

I did skip these applications: eclair elitaire engycad estickies enthrall rage
