However some elements (the system menu for example) aren't displayed fine. I have yet to update Fireball to have the toolbar widget working, but I will change the font to Sans to get that working for you. I will get that sorted sometime in the near future. I seem to have missed these replies. Sorry bout that.

I hear both of you, but can't agree. That way we end up with lots of different things that all have the same name.

On gentoo I can't hook some other arb API to do weird stuff. All original source downloads go into /var/distfiles, where we tell them apart by version number, kinda just like every other tarball out there. If all version of the theme are called fireball.edj, portage cannot tell them apart. If the fireball e17, init, background, entrance, etk and ewl themes are all called fireball.edj - well let's just not go there.

metadata with an API is well and fine and e17 can use that for neat things. I'm not asking that to change - just for you to add some information in the file name so I can tell exactly what a file is using nothing more complicated than ls.

Comment for Fireball by Toma

Hmm yeh Ive never put theme versions in filenames. I know people dont like this, but I dont like putting versions in filenames. Hence the reason the metadata versioning come about. As iamsthitha said, its possible to get all that info via the wonderful API thats in place.

Comment for Fireball by iamsthitha

alanm: You could use the API for that.. it should also make your parsing script simpler.
For this theme, the api link is http://exchange.enlightenment.org/api/read?object=theme&id=204
Notice that the id is 204, and you can see that from the URL of this page.

Comment for Fireball by alanm

A feature request:

Could you host the files on this site with version numbers encoded into the filenames?

Reason: I use gentoo, write custom ebuild to track my themes, and like to retain a few versions of decent ones. I can't tell them apart if every version has the same file name. It also makes it impossible to automate installations like gentoo is designed to do.

Thanks!

p.s. nice themes!

Comment for Fireball by Toma

On an additional note: This theme and all all of my other themes will be updated and released here on exchange. I might start a blog at some point with some more singular edje examples for other themers to apply. Hope you enjoy it :) And drop me any comments here or login, goto my user profile and send me an email.
